Am I able to renew my current subscriptions?

Yes. We are able to renew your current subscriptions for you. When ordering a subscription as a renewal, simply mark the box for renewal next to the magazine name on the order form.

Can my friends or relatives outside of prison place an order for me?

Yes. Your friends or relatives can place an order for you. Full payment must accompany the order. We only accept money orders and cashier’s checks. Because we offer such low rates we are not able to accept personal checks or postage stamps for payment. If a personal check is sent for order payment your order will not be processed, the check will not be returned, and you will not be notified.

Can my friends and relatives order subscriptions for themselves?

Yes. Friends and relatives of inmates may order subscriptions for themselves at the same low prices. We no longer charge any additional fees for non-inmate orders.

Can I, as an inmate, order and pay for a subscription but have it sent to a different name and address?

Yes. You, as an inmate, can order and pay for a subscription at the same low prices and have it sent to a different name and address.

If the prison rejects my magazines can I get a refund?

No. Because we offer such low rates on subscriptions we are not able to send a refund for magazines that are rejected by a correctional facility. If a magazine ceases publication or changes its title and content after your subscription order has been processed, we cannot refund your money.

If I don’t like a magazine I’m receiving, can I switch it for another?

No. Because we offer such low rates on subscriptions we are not able to switch them for different titles. After a subscription order has been processed we are not able to give refunds for unwanted issues. However, if you contact the publisher they may be able to transfer the remainder of your subscription to another address.

What if my address changes during my subscription?

Once you have received your first issue, it is the responsibility of the publisher to handle any change of address or delivery problems for your subscriptions. The publisher’s name, address, and phone number can be found near the front of your magazine, usually below the Table of Contents or on a page near it. When your first issue arrives, make a note of how to reach the publisher to handle any service problems that may arise. However, send us your new address if you wish to receive our price lists.

What if I miss some of my issues?

It is the publisher’s responsibility to get your magazines to you. When you receive your first issue, find the publisher’s name, address, and phone number and keep a copy for your records. This information can usually be found near the front of the magazines. If any issues fail to arrive, contact the publisher to make up for any missing issues.
